Unresolved Comments Search

As part of this add-on, a new icon will appear next to the search bar in Confluence Server or next to the actions buttons in Confluence Cloud.

(If you are running a theming application on Server/Data Center, the link to open the window will be found in the More Actions menu)

Clicking on this icon will load the "Find Unresolved Comments" window:

In-product help

For more specific information about each search filter, function buttons, and search results, please click on the (question) icon to load the in-product help.


In this window, you can limit your search by using the following filters:

  • space (your current space will be filled in by default, and to search all spaces, leave the field blank).
  • mentioned users (leave the field blank to search for all users)

More filters are available by clicking on the arrow icon:

  • comment text
  • commenting user (the user who created the comment)
  • created after date (click in the field to show the calendar)
  • created before date

Clicking on the "Submit" button will begin the search, and you will get a list of comments similar to that of the standard Confluence search.

For Cloud users: If you click the "Submit" button too fast, the window may close without doing anything. Please wait a second or two until the dialog window is fully loaded before clicking the button to search.


Please note that the search results do not include inline comment replies; it only returns the first comment in an inline comment thread.

Clicking on a link will open it in a new window, so you don't have to worry about losing your place.

Load previous search

By clicking the icon on the right side of the window, you can reload the previous search. Currently this is limited to only one step back.
